Introducing Andrea Soos
Andrea is the founding partner of the firm. Andrea has been working with legal matters since 1997 and has joined the Budapest Bar Association as a qualified lawyer in 2000, her qualification was excellent.
Andrea specializes mainly in Labor and Employment law, in particular collective bargaining and restructuring issues. Andrea also focuses on other employment related areas of law such as data protection and privacy matters and anti-discrimination or immigration legislation. Andrea provides day-to-day commercial advice to multinational companies.
Andrea mainly works for international clients especially those industries and fields of practice where collective employment and collective bargaining is essential or where industry specific regulation is highly different (e.g. IT, media, pharmaceutical or the automotive industry).
Key Transactions include:
- Participation in the restructuring of several public service companies, including negotiations with trade unions;
- Legal representation of employers in various labor court cases;
- Establishment of works council and European works councils at multinational companies including the setting up of the election of a Special Negotiating Body required at European level;
- Representation of employers in employee consultation processes required for outsourcing and employee transfers;
- Introduction of data protection and whistle-blowing policies;
- Management of collective redundancies before the Hungarian Labor Office;
- Employment and commercial law due diligence in transactions involving other fields of expertise as well, such as IT firms or banks, financial institutions and telecommunication companies.
